Anyway, Markus, I will address your "difficult" questions, without resorting to the karma explanation (since you will have probably have another 10,000 questions if I brought karma into the picture).
When we discuss IM in this forum, we often talk about manifesting one specific intention, to achieve one specific outcome. That's because these are deliberate attempts to manifest something.
What we are not so aware of is that some specific events manifest in our lives, as a result of a combination of many different thoughts/attitudes over a long time.
For example, I may manifest cancer for myself, if at different times, over the years, I have a combination of these thoughts/attitudes:
"I am sad. Sometimes I wonder what is the point of living."
"Ahhh, I can't be bothered to exercise. Life is short anyway."
"I just don't have time to look after myself."
"My wife would regret being so mean to me, if I was seriously ill."
"I can't help but keep thinking of my Aunt Annie who died of cancer. Boy, she suffered so badly [ visualise cancer patient scenes ]".
How might a rape victim manifest rape for herself? Here's a possible combination of thoughts. Not saying that all or many rape victims think like that - I'm just suggesting a possible combination of thoughts that may, over time, manifest a rape.
"Men are dangerous."
"Why do bad things always happen to me?"
"My life is insecure."
"I always trust the wrong people."
"There's so much pain in my life."
Now, here are examples of a combination of thoughts that would make a cancer much less likely to manifest:
"I enjoy being healthy. I always take good care of myself."
"I love life! I want to live to a ripe old age and have great grandchildren."
"I've got great genes. I'm blessed with good health."
"There's so much I want to do! Next year I want to travel. The year after that, I plan to enrol in school again. The year after that, maybe I will do ___"
Here is an example of a combination of thoughts that would make a rape much less likely to manifest:
"I can take care of myself."
"I only hang out with trustworthy people."
"I want to live in a safe neighbourhood"
"Things always go well for me."
"I desire safety."
People in famine-stricken countries - imagine if one of them had thoughts like this:
"This is the way life is supposed to be. Life is hard."
"Everyone is hungry. It has always been like this in my village."
"There is no food anywhere."
"No one will help me."
"I will die."
Compare another person:
"There must be a way to get more food. How?"
"Help is coming. I believe it. I have to look out for help."
"I believe that God will protect me. Things will be ok."
"I must live."
"I am the strongest. I will survive, even if the rest die."
"I must leave. I must get to a better place."
The 2nd person will probably manifest a better reality for himself. The 1st person is more likely to be stuck in his original harsh circumstances.
