On Thursday 3/27 I was in bed waiting to fall asleep and I drifted into that place in between sleep and awake. I heard someone (a male with a deep beautiful voice) say "Hello and my name) sort of like he was meeting me for the first time. When I opened my eyes, no one was there that I could see. I was surprised more than scared because I've had times when I've heard someone call my name before and no one is actually there.

I figured this was an attempt to get my attention so I said hello out loud and waited but nothing happened. I decided to leave myself "open" to "messages" and once again drifted off into that space between wakefulness and sleep and this time I seemed to come in on the end of a conversation. I opened my eyes again but no one was there.

About two days after this, I was woken up by what sounded like my Grandmother calling my name as though she were trying to wake me up. When I opened my eyes, no one was there. She is in the room next to me so I listened to see if she was in fact calling me. But everything remained quiet. I was particularly concerned about this incident because my grandmother has just been released from the hospital and I thought for sure she was calling to me from the other side to tell me she had crossed over but when I went to check on her she was sleeping peacefully.

Throughout the years, I've have heard someone calling my name on several occasions before and when I look around no one is there. It's different from hearing voices in my dreams as it feels as though someone is right there beside me talking to me. It's almost as though someone were trying to get my attention. One time, this actually saved my life as they called my name in a dream and when I woke up, I found that I was laying on my stomach with my face in the pillow and suffocating.

Does this happen to anyone else? And what can I do to figure out what it is they want? Or am I just nuts?
