Thumbs up

Hi Michelle.

I myself have been going through several changes as I lose weight. I became a Pesca-Vegetarian about 6 months ago now and have lost 35 pounds so far.

The changes that one experiences during weight loss are varied and very individual.

There are so many subtle, chemical and molecular changes occurring as we stick with our healthy changes over time and no one person is exactly the same as any other in what they experience.

The stiff neck could have been stress related in that you may have given up or cut back on foods that you really like but that you know to be bad for you.

This can result in suppressed cravings (which go away in time) that are happening inside your subconscious mind. When you sleep at night the mind tries to work out these stresses, maybe even causing you to contort in your sleep or clench your teeth, both of which can result in prolonged shoulder pain and tightness.

It may indeed be due to overworking or working muscles that were not used to being flexed. If it persists for too long and the pinched nerve does not heal, take a look at your new food regime and make sure that you are not missing any obviously necessary vitamins or minerals.

With weight loss, all of the strange stages that our bodies go through DO eventually pass.

Stick with it and you'll reap the rewards.

Congrats on the new, healthier you!

Bright Blessings,
