It would mean that the only reason you "touched your left hand" is because the screen said so. In other words, the person who wrote "touch your left hand" caused you to touch your hand indirectly by writing the words, and then by the light impulses reaching your eyes it caused your brain to do what it perceived. This works fine if we are robots and if 1,000 read "touch your left hand" and they "touch their left hand", but what about people like me who read the message, interpreted it and DIDN'T touch my left hand. Somehow the cause/effect of the situation was interrupted. My consciousness DECIDED whether I wanted to touch my hand or not. *IT* decided what it wanted to do and thus CREATED (out of thin air) the cause that caused my arm to move via electrical impulses.
The only other explanation is pre-determinism where everything is just unfolding exactly as it was decided at the big bang and there is no choice by anyone at any point in time because we are just caught in the middle of an endless CAUSE > EFFECT chain.
