Well, this is a spin off of Toasterwater's thread,
can we change the world? The results so far are an overwhelming yes, with plently of people who are more than willing to go out and make a change.
So, this begs the question, what should we change first?
We have plenty of categories to choose from, each on interrelated in some form or another, but simply saying yes, I'd like to change the world falls slightly short of actually making the change. We can change politics, though that could potentially be the hardest thing to change. We could promote peace, which is my personal purpose, but if we run around handing out daisies, we get labeled as freaks and people wonder if we are a cult. Want to clean up the environment? Well, we can do that, but there are a lot of groups out there who claim to be pro-environmental, but are just covers for anti-corporate terrorism... We don't want to be mixed in with that crowd.
I say, we pick something concrete and leave politics behind. If we want to improve the environment, leave the GreenPeace tactics for the terrorists, and go out and produce equipment that is good for the environment. If we want to spread peace, we need to find peace within ourselves first. If we want to get rid of money, let's completely automate an industry so that people don't have to trade their time for pieces of printed paper, and have the time to work on developing their character instead. You can't be a theif if something is free, right?
