I'm not an expert, but I find it helpful to not put too much pressure on LoA--that is, I find it easier to have the attitude of, "let's just try this out," rather than, "this is how the universe works," only because if I give it too much seriousness, and too much thought, it is less likely to happen. Approach it as a "what if it were true," rather than "this IS true."
Also, I like focusing on the big AND small. Some people say you should concentrate ont eh small because it's more believable. While this is true, I think that imagining what your life would be like as a millionaire will help break down resistance to money. I guess it's a personal choice. Then some people say you should think about the biggest, best possible things. I guess this is better if you have less resistance to the topic.
