The idea is that while we all have plenty of free will, there are just a very few things that won't happen, simply because it runs against our True Will (which is like some higher plan that the universe has for us). So no matter how much LOA or conscious magick you do, you just won't succeed. Because the outcome runs against your True Will.
Personally, I can only think of one experience I've had, where my LOA failure could have been attributable to an incongruency with True Will. Come to think of it, my situation was analogous to Aces'. Because it was also a situation where notable people kept saying "you're great, you're great", and I had lots of successes along the way, but the actual big break never came.

Yeah... not a big fan of Crowley. But I guess even the Devil (pun intended) can quote scripture so I don't have an issue necessarily with the idea of Thelema or what was proposed on that level.
I think that's more Taoist though. At least how it occurs to me.
