A phishing scam will ask you for personal info. All the verification email asks you to do is click a link, and then you'll see a thank you page. There's nothing further after that.
I mainly think of the newsletter as a good way to keep in touch with people who don't have time to visit the site very often and just want monthly updates rather than daily or weekly ones. |
