Ultramarathon Man: Confessions of an All-Night Runner, by Dean Karnazes. One of the few books I've read multiple times, and still can't get enough of it. Great book for any of you runners out there, looking for new words to explain the joy of running...and for any of you non-runners out there, looking to better understand us crazy people who run for hours and hours.
What's more, the transformation this guy went through is packed with life lessons. He went from being a non-runner, to running 199 miles non-stop for charity. Dean has done marathons and many ultramarathons (defined as any race longer than a marathon, which is 26.2 miles). He's nuts, he's inspiring, he's also a family man stuck in a corporate rat race looking for his way out.
