My quickest tips:
- Write down everything you eat for a week, figure out where you can make changes.
- Read good blogs on dieting -- I really like Diet Blog -- for daily inspiration.
- Get some exercise every day. Even if it's just half an hour's walk.
- Weigh yourself weekly and record the results.
- Keep a journal or blog about how you're feeling -- particularly if you're eating because of emotional reasons.
