I know how you feel. I used to get this too. I would pick up people's pain all the time and it would hurt! When I first started learning holistic healing, I would just touch a practice client and burst into tears which wasn't good for me or the client!
I found that as I dealt with my own pain, other people's pain stopped triggering me. I am able to tune in when I choose now, rather than having a bucket load of negative energy squash me every now and again.
You say you are depressed, I was too as a teenager and I think the problem is that real depression gets written off as teenage blues just because you happen to be under 18. Is there anyone who can help you? Does your school have a counselling service? If not, is there a friend or adult in your life that you can confide all your feelings too? Is there anyway we can help on the boards here?
I think you have a great gift and although it feels painful now, if you can learn to channel it and turn it off when you want to you will have an amazing guide to help you understand people in your life. Facing up to what is causing you depression is the first step to take.
