In my previous post, I had typed up a paragraph about my mom getting lung cancer and she never imagined she would ever get lung cancer, which is a reason she never quit smoking. But I deleted the paragraph because I wanted to steer the topic away from specific personal stuff.

Of course, maybe I attracted your answer, especially since I had just mentioned my mom in another thread.
