It's SPAM. I am amazed at the new and creative ways people try to swindle others out of money all the time. The newest thing to hit my inbox are emails from the "IRS". Is all I have to do is click on the link in the email to their site and type in my SS# and bank account numbers and a refund I didn't even know was coming to me will be on the way!!
The other thing that is happening more and more is text messages from businesses that say "Please call us" If you reply, you get solicited. Since I am on the "Do Not Call" registry, this is their semi-legitimate way of making sales calls.
