I find setting a page quota helps. Having a clear target just in terms of physical pageidge helps me stay on track - just take the word count and divide it by five or seven or whatever works for you, then don't stop until you've read AT LEAST that many pages every day.

Takes self discipline, but as Pavlina-sensei points out, slef-discipline is a muscle that needs exercise to get stronger.
