At first reading a lot, in terms of volume, can be beneficial to give you some ideas and broaden your perspective.
After that when you find something of true value it is essential to reread it, study it, apply it, learn from it.
At some point there should come a time when you should stop reading other people's ideas and build your own. I have not made much progress here at this point in my life. But there has to be a point where you need to dedicate more of your time to your own ideas
