Another thread on the subject where I posted a laundry list of lifetime coping skills:
Aloofness! (and awful memory)
My answers to your questions:

1. If you have adult ADD, or have the symptoms of what people call ADD. What do you do to with the frequent mistakes and unfinished products.
|
I don't beat myself up about it. One of the other facets of ADD is the interest in doing many things at once. That alone means some things won't get done. If it is hampering some area of your life, however, put some coping skills in place - lists, alarms, reminders, etc - that will help you stay on task.

2. Has anyone taken a Ritalin or Ritalin type RX medication, and to what success or failure?
|
I take concerta but only *as needed*. My ability to focus on one thing at a time and follow through is like night and day when I take meds. That said, I don't take them all the time because there's something to be said for the creative/daydreamy side of me as well.

3. What are the real life potential downsides to taking the RX. Eg: "I can't function without taking my pills in the moring" type situation.

As I mentioned in Statikkk's thread, it may take some experimenting to find which med works best for you.
