There are lots of ways to go on to college as a high school dropout, and lots of opportunities for success and happiness even if you don't go to school, especially if you're a business-oriented person as opposed to a frustrated academic/physician/something that actually requires a degree. Lots of successful businesses were built by people who didn't go to college. All leaving school means anymore, is that you didn't go to the senior prom. |
actually, that's what i read him as saying: some people who drop out of school lead lives of quiet desparation, while others [who drop out of school] go on to build great businesses. he (she?) was talking about moving on after failure or disappointment.
