I don't think that's very good advice Julia. Clearly if you ever did suffer from emetophobia, it was very mild. When it hits someone badly it takes over their entire life. It also leads to further disorders such as IBS and agoraphobia, depression and worse.
It might seem like a silly little phobia at first - but think about it. Imagine you were too afraid to travel because you know someone/yourself could get travel-sickness! What if you could never eat any food that you didn't prepare yourself? Emetophobia often leads to serious eating disorders. Imagine, if you're a woman, avoiding sex for the rest of your life - just in case you get pregnant and feel morning sickness? Imagine having a panic attack every time your stomach made a gurgling noise?
You cannot simply say "don't care about it". For a sufferer of emetophobia - there is NOTHING more serious in life!
*please note that i don't consider myself a sufferer anymore, but i remember.
