I think there is nothing wrong with having many girl friends instead of boys. If I must say, I prefer girl friends than boys. But before making any conclusion, I am a male, I mean a straight male happily married to a straight female.
Anyway, my bestfriend is a girl and I met her around 5 years ago and we still communicate religiously. Nope, she is not my wife. But I chose her to be my best friend beacuse she understands me, corrects me if I am wrong and praise me if I do right.
In short, a true friend knows no sexual preference and you will understand it more, son...that is if you face your life positively
