Hi Fate,
Welcome to the boards.
I'm still working on it myself, the whole self-discipline thing. It's not easy, but if you persist, you may find yourself making gradual steady progress, week by week, month by month, year by year. That's how I see it anyway, more of a slow burn, than an instant quick fix.
Sounds good that you're setting yourself a easily achievable target to begin with (work 2 hours per day), once you get that nailed, on to bigger and better things I guess?
I've recently been working on the habit of getting up early, and I think that's a good one also, to start with. Gives you quiet time in the morning for reflection and thinking about where you are in life, where it's going.
I wouldn't get too into what other people say, e.g. self-development guru's. Sure, they may present ideas and concepts that resonate with you, and you'll find something of use there; but for me, I think at the end of the day, you have to find it within yourself, in your own language, your own 'words' (and when you do, you'll probably start blogging yourself, and become a self-help guru too, which is probably just what Steve Pavlina and Anthony Robbins did anyway!).
Best of luck!
