I have a project like the one you're talking about...been putting it off for a long time. If I think about it, there area valid reasons for not doing it. I don't know how...I find it tedious and boring...and it's just really no fun. Plus, the only motivation for doing it is to stop the guilt...which apparently seems manageable right now

When I get tired of the chronic energy drain of that guilt... I'm going to clear my desk, spread it all out...and do it in time block. Fifteen minutes of focus, ten minutes of playing around...until I get it done. Then I'm going to reward myself somehow...a new warm scarf or something.

Maybe for me it's just more about caring enough for myself to get it done now, rather than allow myself to chronically feel bad about it.

dang...guess I know what I'm doing this weekend. Hey! maybe that's what we need here...a commitment page. To help us be accountable to ourselves.

Good luck,
Pam
Nice thoughts, hope you got it done!

I like the block time idea.

Procrastination is probably a great reason for the resistance we sometimes feel keeping from just getting something done already....maybe a habit develops if you start the procrastination.

I like your idea of a commitment thread!

all best,
