Steve does not normally respond to messages directly addressed to him on these forums.
He does talk about in his blog post that poly sleep schedule did not affect his workout or physical activity level. He also mentions that he had no problem, after he was fully adapted, with reading or studing difficult topics. He does not mention what he was studing.
Steve also addresses coffee and such in the sence that he does not drink it and he thinks that that helped him be able to switch sleep types.
Steve basically said it took a couple weeks for him to feel back to normal, and about a month for him to feel better then normal.

Also i agree with Wandering Oak.. there is alot of talk about polyphasic sleep over in the health forum. Many people are expermenting with it as well over there.
