I think dreams you can get back into, the next day or month or year after is perhaps connected with healing in some way, for self or other.

I am. of course, simply giving my opinion based on a personal experience.
One significant dream reocurrence come to mind at the moment. I'll share it here for interest sake.

I had a very traumatic childhood, and I was afraid of heights.
We lived on a small mountain that had a scenic walking path with a view over the edge. I was terrified of going on that path, or anywhere near it. But it was visible and close by. Every time, in "real" life, I went toward that place, I felt a strong gravitational pull toward the edge which made me nearly pass out with fear. One night I dreamed I was there on the path, being pulled toward the edge as though I as in a tractor beam. As I hit the guard rail I woke up, shaking and rigid.

Over the next week, every night I would go to bed, I would end up in this same dream, each time being pulled closer till I finally fell off the edge. I fell furtherdown the mopuntain a little more each dream time till on the final dream, I hit the bottom, where I stood in a forest, and everything was ok. I didn't die, and I no longer feared.

I was 5 years old and it is still clear today.

If only this would happen to me again and again with the myriad of other things that need healing as an adult!! lol
