Letting go is tough, for all the reasons you mentioned. Sometimes you fear that you won't have anything left if you let go of what you've been clinging to. It can feel lonely.
But having something inspiring to be present with and look forward to takes a great deal of the fear out of the idea of letting go.
I feel prioritizing my values and coming up with some goals will be a great inspiration. Of course there are old pains to dispose of and new ways of being to be inspired with as well.
