quit trying to grab onto laughter. I feel like you've got a scarcity mentality going on.
like norbert said, your authentic self is eternal laughter.

You just gotta remove the walls around your heart. (ego)
You won't take **** so seriously when you have an open heart.
So, how do we get there? How do we come to a point of feeling safe enough to be vulnerable?
Love more.
Most people try to resist fear and then cultivate love. This leads to forcing down emotions with food... lol and artificial forced "love" that triggers most people's phony alarm.
Learn about how to create that open, beautiful, spontaneous, yin state.
As always, I recommend meditation. Start questioning why you are so serious. Where did you learn it? What am I afraid of?
Keep going deeper and deeper.
My mentors that I recommend for this:
Tony Robbins, Eckhart Tolle, Ideagasms Forum (ideagasms.net)
Once you learn how to see the illusions your ego constructs, you're in heaven
