This is a great question. I'm thinking about selling most of my CD and DVD collection right now, so it's something I'll have to consider as well... On the one hand, we're not doing anyone any good by holding onto things we no longer want or need. If the potential buyers want entertainment, they're going to get it one way or another.

But does the "they're going to get it one way or another, whether they get it from me or someone else" defense hold up? If so, maybe I should go sell drugs to high-school kids. Great business opportunity there.

Anyway, I will be selling my entertainment stuff because I feel like it will be mutually beneficial. They'll get the entertainment they feel is a priority in their life, I'll get a couple dollars, and I'll be rid of stuff taking up time and space in my life. I believe it would be presumptuous of me to think I know what makes other people happy, and to keep from them something they might enjoy. ... But I won't sell drugs.
