I'd like to know why you think humans shouldn't have a fear of flying (at this stage in our evolution anyway.). It is completely unnatural for us in these bodies.
It demands that we put trust in the questionable reliability of some machine put together by some random people. Beyond that flying requires us to give up all hope of saving ourselves in the event of an emergency. On land and at sea there is still always the chance to do something to help one's self. Miles high in the sky the only thing to do is get ready to die should something happen. The control is completely with other people.
I hate flying. It is unnecessary and bad for the environment, too. |
