As I got older I was definitely interested in paranormal things and began reading about them. But back when I was 4 the kinds of experiences I was having weren't related to what I'd seen on tv. For example, when the phone rang, I knew who it was. Consistently. I would know in advance when famous people were going to die and would tell my mom about it in advance of their death. I would tell my mom to buy a flashlight at the store because it was "really really important mommy" and then later that night there would be a blackout and we really really needed that flashlight. My abilities were not only dream related, they were very precognitive. Watching tv or reading a book might explain to me what these experiences were but could not make these abilities exist in me.
Recently I was having a conversation with my uncle. He told me that years ago when I was around 7 or 8 years old he had taken me and my siblings to see Logan's Run (for the 10th time). He said he was sitting in the car thinking, "Why on earth do they want to keep seeing the same movie?" He told me at that moment I turned to him and said, "Uncle, you're probably wondering why on earth we want to keep seeing the same movie." He told me he was blown away that I appeared to have read his thoughts, word for word, using the same phrase he was thinking. I didn't remember this incident, but it was an interesting anecdote for me.
