I have experianced something of this sort, But without mind-altering materia.
My girlfreind and I spent a incredible day with one another on the day of new years eve. We connected both physicly and mentaly and spiritualy. I felt as i knew everything about her for a moment. I felt as if she was me and i was her.
When we finaly departed from each other i still felt connected to her, 5 hours later i got a phonecall depicting the same thing. It was as if that we had never departed as i was still with her and she was with me.
The mind is incredibly powerfull. And i do think it is possibly to be one with another mind if that mind is willing without a doubt. It is like jumping through a door. Of course you will hit a wall if the door is not open.
And the aid of drugs may of opened that door. Drugs alter the mind in good and bad ways ie, Mental illness. But if somehow you were able to alter your own mind you would be able to do great things.
