Hi, thanks for your replies.
I was definitely in a druggish state when I experienced what I did. I don't take drugs or drink alcohol so the painkillers and lack of sleep did have a strange effect + lots of focused thinking on subjective reality.
It did feel like 'a wink from the Universe'.
I forgot to add that I had a lucid dream where I was talking to Einstein and he carefully explained to me that all time and all matter was here in this place and moment - that there was no distance between any object and no distance between any time. I didn't understand it fully but in my dream it seemed to make sense.
I was trying to decide this morning whether to continue with this struggle with IM and SR or to return to a more Objective reality, governed by cause and effect and (seemingly) random happenings. I said to myself "OK, just decide one way or another - now." and at that precise moment the post came and startled me. I walked to the door and saw it was a free newspaper, face down, with a full page ad for a mercedes dealership. I thought to myself; "OK, I suppose it's a sign, but it's not much of one!" I turned the paper to the front and there was a full page ad for Mercedes with a photo of my dream car!! With the price of only £499.99 per month
I've been trying to post the photo but haven't been successful yet.
The problem is that although the initial surprise is amazing - it is very quickly replaced by the usual cynical, rational explanations. It's something I'm working on.
I really believe that if my beliefs could be changed, then the whole process would be a lot easier and quicker.
If any one knows of really good techniques for erasing and installing beliefs then I'd be grateful to know them. (I've read all the Steve Pavlina postings and also Anthony Robbins' ideas on deconstructing beliefs and changing values etc.)
I'll keep you updated. I seem to be having moderate success with IM but it's very hit and miss so far. I mean I successfully manifested agonising tooth ache. Why???

And let me tell you - to try to feel good and imagine a pain-free mouth when your whole jaw is throbbing is simply not possible (for me).
anyway, good luck to you all, I think we're on the brink of something very exciting here.
