Alison Jenkins is on a distinguished road
Default

As I've got older and changed I've found I become a lot less frustrated. That applies to all areas of my life whether it is things that don't work, standing at a check out or getting stuck in traffic.

I try to put things into perspective and think about the positive sides of it all. For example if I am in stuck in traffic I feel grateful that it is not me involved in the accident. If I get days where my writing is not going well because I am tired I then have a nap and accept that today I was not so productive. If I didn't get the assignment done I wanted to I just accept that maybe tomorrow I will get it done. I juggle a lot with 4 kids and I always find that the days where nothing seems to go right will always be complimented with days where I gain unexpected time. When I think about worse case scenarios I then feel grateful rather than frustrated.

Motivation - well I am driven by achievement so it is not a problem I have. Today I do things because I want to rather than because I am told to.
