In the next 24 hours, deforestation will release as much CO2 into the atmosphere as 8 million people flying from London to New York. Stopping the loggers is the fastest and cheapest solution to climate change. So why are global leaders turning a blind eye to this crisis?

The moral argument of why a developing country have to keep say (numbers are made up) 50% of it's country filled with trees while the developed countrys have 5% filled with trees isn't quite that strong.
Especially when you are a US citizen and the US still produces the most CO2.
Even when most western leaders would want to reduce deforestation it's not that easy to do it in a way that the developing countries are happy with.
