I did get the keyboard. Not for the blankness thing, but for the feel of the clicky keys like the old school IBM Modem M. It is the best keyboard I have ever had, and I have had a lot of them. Putting 80 bucks is a good investment if you are on the computer any good amount of time. It's not like your shelling out that every day, the keyboard will last a long time if not abused.
