This appalled me. I can't believe someone would do that to her own child. I'm guessing you grew up with this kind of abuse. If my mother said things like that she would no longer be in my life.
I hope you are successful in surrounding yourself with like-minded people... it really helps. And reduce the amount of contact you have with those who don't support you.
