Hello Grl,

I have not read GTD so I cannot comment on how to use that system.

I tend to map out the week ahead with important events that I might otherwise forget but then I revert to a daily system. Organizing what you have to do is never enough (although it can feel good). Preparation is the most important part of getting anything done and is generally overlooked by most systems for getting things done that I have ever come across. Consequently I have developed a "How to Do List" which focuses on the process required to get things done and the difficulties that will be encountered.
