I'm no expert on fasting - what I know mostly comes from Dr. Graham's forum - but all the experts I have come across recommend fasting longer than 3 days only with professional supervision. Not that you can't do it; it just helps to have someone around who knows what to expect, and what is normal or abnormal. I've also heard some bad things about the enemas; supposedly your body can clean itself out just fine, and it's dangerous to muck about with the process in such an unnatural way. If you believe the body can heal itself naturally, why the colonics? Sick/injured animals in nature fast until they are well, without any need for that sort of manipulation. Finally, you keep talking about how hard it is to "get going" - are you actually trying to keep a regular schedule? "Fasting" means rest; you should not be trying to do anything but take it easy. If you're using your energy for activity, your body can't be using it for healing, which basically defeats the purpose.

All the negativity aside, good luck with this. As everyone says, take it very easy when breaking the fast - that's the absolute most difficult/dangerous part of it all. Also, you may not want to stick to 30 days absolutely - apparently every 5 or 7 days or so, there is a natural point to break the fast; if you notice these patterns, then obviously it should make sense to stop on a day that feels right, even if it's day 26 or 29 or 32 or whatever.
