Just in case I'd fluked on a dud one, I went to a different group (there are dozens around me) and it was the same.
Toastmasters is full of normal people with normal jobs, who just happened to be interested in improving their public speaking and/or confidence.
I went in with expectation that it would be full of highly self-motivated people doing wonderful things with their lives, and it wasn't.
So if people have other ideas of where all the people are doing great things with their lives, I'm listening!
