I'm very savvy with the web and web technologies but I'm not a very good writer. So I'm thinking of starting up a website of a certain topic (I have a few ideas) and find a few writers that are passionate about that subject. My brother-in-law has offered to write some articles to help me get started. The site will also feature other things besides just articles, btw.

I don't really know much about business stuff. I'm assuming I would have to get a business license in order to pay my writers? Do any of you know how much the going rate is for a 1 or 2 page article? I'm away from home, going to school. So I live in an apartment. But I do occasional switch apartments from time to time. So If I do get a business license, will I be able to put my home address as the location?
