^ I think that issue there is you're mixing up the medium with the message. there's a blog post on that, too.
I've got a friend who's been saving since he was a kid (I mean, younger than you), he's usually workin a few jobs. He has quite a few deca-thousands of dollars in his bank account today (he's 20 now).
