As I understand it, you may have created (or attracted) this person to you for your own self-improvement. That thing you hate about this person, is it something you are also? Is there some way this person can be handled with love/compassion and also used as an opportunity to improve yourself?
My suggestion is to do the opposite, talk with them, get to know them, understand why you are driven to the dislike.
In general, in these kinds of things we are meant to go through, not around, over, under, or to pretend it doesn't exist. Avoiding it will likley bring you bad things. Of course, without all the details, I may be giving bad advice here.
