Heh actually I completely understand that. When I think of my girlfriend's physical imperfections, I realize I regard them with fondness. Even when I see them in other women, I am reminded of her and the same nice feelings are evoked. Now if could only think of a way to phrase that in a flattering way, I'd tell her so.
