I have dreams like that all the time. I'll be fighting zombies, and my gun won't work, and I'll say "The gun isn't working because it's a dream! I just need to believe that it will work and it will." Then the gun will work, but otherwise it will be a normal dream.
It's kind of frustrating because it could be a lucid dream, where I could make anything I wanted happen, but I just use my knowledge that it's a dream to continue doing whatever I was doing before.
