Bury them in salt for a few days.
However, I'm going to go out on a limb and say that you don't necessarily need to spiritually cleanse them. They are picking up on your energy and becoming accustomed to you. You're sharing a symbiotic relationship between the two of you. If you keep cleaning them you have to start all over with that connection.
Live with them. Don't wash away your connection.
