Thanks for the other great replies here. I will seriously investigate working for a "think tank" and doing "professional brainstorming". Recently, consulting has become interesting to me too. You get to come in and analyze a company's problems, solve them, and then move on to the next major problem or company.
Anyone ever worked in one of these roles?
