Right now, the last thing I can focus any of my time or energy on is politics.
However, I can offer one small insight:
I live in New Jersey (not seeking pity, just stating fact), and the current governor's campaign platform was based on a promise not to raise taxes.
Within 24 hours of taking office, the new governor decided that there was no way to avoid it; taxes would have to be raised. So we now have a seven percent state sales tax - it was previously six percent. That is opproximately a 17% increase!
So beware of the difference between what is promised during the campaign, and the reality of the elected office.
Frankly, I have had enough of our government's confiscatory taxation. Most of us here in the USA pay 50% of our earnings to our governments (Federal, State, Sales, Municipal, Property...) in the form of taxes.
