I wouldn't worry about a draft simply because it's not practical (in my opinion it can only happen if the US gets invaded). However, fleeing to Canada may not be possible anymore. They've
recently rejected asylum for two US deserters. Of course, these soldiers weren't drafted so this may have influenced the decision.
