As a San Diego native, i can suggest some wonderful things to see.

1. Green Valley Falls up in Cuyamaca Rancho State Park.

2. Sunset Cliffs. Just remember to use the stairs provided and NOT attempt to climb down the cliffs themselves.

3. La Jolla Shores. Lots to do outdoors, and lots of art galleries if you're into that.

4. Mission Beach Amusement Park. There's a tiny mexican restaurant right off the sand where you can get the best carne asada burrito ever.

5. Julian.

6. Balboa Park's natural history and aerospace museums.

7. Del Mar Fair.
