I think Hicks' would say, your current circumstances are manifestations of what you were thinking about previously, nothing more or less. That you only keep in your mind the "preferred state", see it as clearly as possible... if you do that and the good feelings come, then you're on the way. Then of course you look around and see it's not there (could be right on its way) so you're again observing, the manifestations of your previous thoughts, and the cycle starts anew. I think they would say don't deny what you have created, but take ownership of it, and realize that it was you that created it.

As far as ignoring, I don't know if that would work or not. I prefer to accept the current moment as a manifestation of the past. I think it comes down to, you either believe what you want is real, or you don't. That, and don't be too concerned with "how" it's coming, which could limit you as well. The constant thinking of lack in the past has a strong momentum, and you need to keep coming back to the present and reaffirm what you want and get all excited and passionate about it, again.

It's not like I'm there yet, I'm still new at this... just clarifying the Hicks' stuff I've been reading lately, to myself.
