A tiny fragment of a 1,500-year-old papyrus is written in Greek, the original language of the New Testament, contains some new "head scratching" for those who are wrapped around the "666" paradigm.
The Oxyrhynchus papyrus find was first excavated in 1895 and it was badly discoloured and damaged however it gave the number of the anti-Christ as 616, not 666.
It's like the Dec.21, 2012 vs Oct. 28, 2011 conundrum: embrace most things loosely, lest they burn your hands as they slip away. :-)
