I was starting to reread
The Singularity Is Near this morning when a little voice spoke up in the back up my head:

Um, er, eep, well I'm glad to hear my mission in life isn't something small or trivial!
My second thought was: as a "guardian angel", do I still get to have
sex?

The good news is that it's in alignment with my new career path for
giving advice.
